TOUR CHECKLIST
Don't forget your toothbrush!
 

Below is a brief summary compiled for you by our loving mummy Steph, so make sure you don't forget any of it or she may have to spank you!

HAND LUGGAGE

  • PASSPORT!!
  • Money (bit of English money for ferry, EUROS, bank cards just in case)
  • Camera
  • EHIC Card
  • Insurance certificate/card (if you have bought your own insurance)
  • Mobile Phone
  • Food and drink (vodka needed for long coach journey)
  • Something to read or listen to
  • DVDs
  • Pillow

THE SERIOUS STUFF

  • Ski Jacket – it doesn’t have to be expensive but it has to be warm and waterproof!
  • Salopettes – they need to be comfy and very waterproof especially for snowboarders
  • Layers – under your ski gear it is best to wear layers. Wear a long sleeved polo neck or fleece under a t-shirt. You can get thermal vests and long johns as well if you feel the cold. If you don’t want to spend money on long johns, just get some thick tights.
  • Lip balm – trust me it hurts when you forget your lip balm!
  • High factor sun block – it may be cold but you will get panda eyes, which always look better if the rest of your face is brown and not red
  • Gloves – you need proper gloves, not mittens or anything else. They need to be waterproof and warm.
  • A hat – look sexy, look like a fool, whatever you want. Just wear a hat!
  • Helmets – We have a supply of club helmets, if you want to borrow one then email nick@warwicksnow.net
  • A scarf – take a warm scarf just in case. Not a silly chunky knit, drag on the floor scarf, but something you can wrap around your neck/your face if you need to.
  • Socks -  you’ll want normal socks and also ski socks – ski boots hurt and so you need something that will cover your shins.
  • Goggles and/or sunglasses – these are essential! You don’t have to spend loads, but it is best to get quality. You will definitely need one or the other, and the best thing is to ask someone at the shop – goggles are probably more practical, but make sure you have reflective lenses if you are not taking any sun glasses.

 

PLACES TO GET YOUR GEAR:

You can go to TK-MAXX for good bargains, Two Seasons or Lockwoods. We have organised a discount night on Tuesday 20th  November at Two Seasons in Leamington Spa where you will get a discount on brand new goods. On the same night, in Two Seasons, we have organised an option for beginners who don’t want to spend too much money. Instead of hiring this year, we have ex-hire goods available. So for hire prices, (£20 Jackets and £18 Salopettes) you can buy all your gear, and don’t have to worry about how it will come back! We are also having a discount night at Lockwoods on Thursday 22nd  November, where they have good prices on ski gear, skis, boots and anything else you need.

We are currently arranging some special discount nights in some local ski stores for you to get your kit for christmas tour.We are also compiling a list of things to bring for those of you who perhaps have never gone on a winter holiday before. THE FUN STUFF:

Every night is fancy dress so watch this spot for the new and exciting themes! You can buy your fancy dress from Party Time in Leamington Spa, where you will get a 10% discount. You can also go to Stone the Crows, but unfortunately you won’t get a discount there.

OTHER STUFF:

  1. Don’t forget your neurofen and anything else that will help cure your hangovers.
  2. Berocca is a brilliant hangover cure/ replacement coffee. You can get it in Boots or Tesco.
  3. WARNING: wear high heels at your own risk!!!
